Music is the most fluent language I speak. It surpasses English in every way imaginable because sometimes there are no words to express the feeling that certain songs can give me. That is what pushed me to start writing music, instead of just singing other peoples' songs.
I grew up in a house where my folks listened to country and oldies, but as I got some age on me I started exploring many other genres and as a result have a very hard time pinning myself down in just one area musically. The music on my page will be changing constantly as I find new ways to express myself and find people to work with who can operate on the same wavelength as me. This is the beginning of a journey for me, and I plan to do whatever I can to keep it rolling.
I have a dream of gigging as soon in the future as the fates will let me... even if it's for a handful of people in a tiny little bar.. as long as SOMEONE is getting enjoyment out of it. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to listen to my music, and who lets me know they enjoyed it. I will do my best to make sure I do the same for them. I think it's wonderful that the internet has allowed for the music community to stay so closely linked with each other and with their fans, because it makes it seem like we're all so much closer. I get as starstruck as anyone by the right people... many of the people I grew up idolizing are still performing now and are on my friends list. Many I've discovered along the way are as well... and I love that I can communicate with them if only through a comment.
I will be adding more music as I write more, hopefully will have enough for at least an EP sometime soon... fingers crossed that inspiration keeps rolling. I can't guarantee I will be staying with one medium for writing because if I love too many kinds of music and find myself being torn in a few directions... but for now electronic seems to work well for me, and acoustic when I'm able.
