About Me

Holly Schunmann is a talented singer/songwriter local to the Shoalhaven area. At the tender age of 14 Holly received her first guitar, a Fender classic, from her father. Little did he know that she had the makings of a fine songwriter. At the age of 20 Holly wrote her first song "Feel Free". This was just the beginning of a list of many great songs she has written, meant to inspire & elevate the souls of people of all ages & genre interests. Holly says " I was blessed with the ability to put words to music & then sing them in a way that uplifts peoples hearts." This ability to project such passion in her performance has made Holly a popular addition to the already dynamic sounds of the Ricky Lynch Band, who are much sought after from Sydney to the Southern Highlands & on down the South Coast as far as Narooma. In 2005 Holly met Ricky Lynch. This was a meeting destined for greatness. "Ricky's an amazing inspiration to me. His remarkable vocal talent & upbeat guitar stylings blew me away! Ricky has been first & foremost a most enlightening mentor, gently guiding & moulding me into the confident performer I have become under his experienced tutelage." Holly performed a few songs at various gigs with Ricky & his band until, in 2006, Ricky invited Holly to join the fellas & add a feminine aspect to the, already popular, Ricky Lynch Band. She put her guitar,a 12 string Ibanez, aside for a while so that she could focus on her vocals. This has allowed her to evolve vocally from the 'loungeroom muso' she was, to the up & coming professional she has become. Bringing with her the sensually smoky vocal quality that allows her to sing Stevie Nicks to the delight of admiring Fleetwood Mac fans, & to add delicate feminine harmonies to Rickys' popular songlist. Holly has also surprised & delighted people with her songwriting talents, adding to her cover selection her own songs like "Rock My World", made even more dynamic by the accompaniement of Rickys' talents & those of his band members; Michael Griffiths on drums, Adrian Morgan on bass & Carlos Cozzarin on congas. The blend is truly awe inspiring. Definately a must see for music lovers of any age & musical preference.

Band Members: Ricky Lynch on acoustic guitar & vocals (My inspiration!!!!..You really must hear this guy sing!), Michael Griffiths (Brilliant drummer!) , Adrian Morgan on bass (our latest member, nice fella with great sense of humour!) ,Carlos Cozzarin, shaking his thing whilst accompanying us on congas (what a sweetie, the girls love him!) & myself (soulful stylings of Stevie Nicks but don't be fooled into stereo-typing, i sing my own songs better! Keep an ear out for Rock my World). I'm having a fantastic time. Finally living the dream!I feel truuuuly blessed to be making music with these guys......

Influences: There have been so many things that have influenced me as I traversed this Life. My families positive approach ( a rare find in todays society!), good & bad friendships, my God & Goddess, the Photon Belt (not something you wear!), Peace, War, Mother Nature, lovely walks in rainforests & up mountains. Fig trees, Animals, Philosophy, People... Things that make me feel small in comparison but still worthy in the ' grand scheme of Life'. Love, all types...so important to our survival. Writing; a gentle out-pouring of my Soul. Life is so full of lessons. Music; such a powerful medium. My ability to touch peoples hearts & Souls with words & song. Other artists.... Melanie, Kate Bush, Fleetwood Mac (Love Stevie!), Soundgarden & Audioslave (Chris Cornells' lyrics & vocals are just brilliant!), Pink Floyd (thanks Dad xo), Led Zeppelin, Pete Murray, Deep Purple, Evanescence, Melissa Etheridge, Counting Crows, & most recently Ricky Lynch, in the flesh!!.... I could go on but the list would be immense! Music is my World.
Sounds Like: Stevie Nicks, Melanie, Melissa Etheridge... I try to sound like whomever I'm covering, a bit of a vocal chameleon. But most of all, I sound like Me!
