About Me

UPCOMING PROJECTS:

My Interests

I made this music player at MyFlashFetish .com.

Please stop by my MySpace friend Gifrants' page to hear more of his beautiful music. The song playing on my page is called "Tonfwi Defandi", which I've affectionately renamed "The Pamela Song". If your French and Creole is up to speed you'll know that this song is about a man who has great desire for a woman named....you guessed it, Pamela!

I'd like to meet:

Actors, Film-Makers, Playwrights, Directors, Producers, Publicists, Photographers. And anyone else aware of their divine creative powers. Send me a message, let's create, our time on this plane is limited...let's get it crackin'!

Music:

Favorite female vocalists: Sade (where are you girl!?), Phylis Hyman, and Angela Bofil. So much music so little time!!! A new favorite of mine is Gifrants. He has a song about me, Ton Fwi Defandi. Ok, I'm embellishing a bit (LOL!) He has a myspace page, you can find him in my friend's section below. Please check him out. The music is beautiful.

Movies:

So many. The 'Music' 'Books' and 'Movies' sections overwhelm me. Just thinking about all of the great works of art that have touched me...ok, well here are some movies that continue to resonate within me even today: "LACKAWANA BLUES" (God KNOWS I have to be in the TV series version of this! Especially if S. Epatha Merkerson will continue to be involved), "THE COLOR PURPLE" (although I almost like the B'way version better), "THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY" (give me anything with Ms. Streep!), "SET IT OFF" (What!? Those ladies put it down.), "BLACK ORPHEUS", "A STREET CAR NAMED DESIRE" (I want to play 'Blanche'.), "E.T." (Yeah, and??? *LOL*), "STAR WARS", "THE WIZ" (You had better recognize! *LOL*) "LADY SINGS THE BLUES" (You know damn well Diana should have won that Oscar.) "AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER", "GLORY", "DEAD PRESIDENTS", "SCARFACE" ("I told you, mayne, I told you, don't f#ck with me! I told you, no f#ckin' kids! No, but you wouldn't listen! Well, you stupid f#ck! Look at you now."), "THE SHINING" (Jack scares the hell out of me in that movie, but I love it..."RED RUM, RED RUM") "THE BEST MAN", "DO THE RIGHT THING", "BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S", "SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION", "THE USUAL SUSPECTS" (as my auntie would say, "That was a HUMDINGER!!" *LOL*), "xXx" (Vin Diesel: that voice, that body, yum!) "MONSTER", "DIARY OF A MAD BLACK WOMAN" (I just love Madea), "ROOTS", "PASSION OF THE CHRIST", "SHINDLER'S LIST", "PIANIST", "SANKOFA" ("But I'm not African! I'm not African!!"),

Television:

Grey's Anatomy, Desparate Housewives, The Bernie Mac Show, My Wife and Kids, David Letterman, Jay Leno, SNL, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Martin, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Wonderwoman, The Six Million Dollar Man, Little House on the Prairie (yes, that's right *LOL*)

Books:

So many. I mostly like biographies and self empowerment books. Obviously plays are on my list as well. Gosh, when was the last novel I read...let me get back to you on that one...wow, it might have been "Gold Diggers" by Tracie Howard as I portrayed one of the charcaters for the author's book-signing.

Heroes:

Jesus. My Momma, no doubt! She was a single parent handling it! All of my ancestors and especially those of the Diaspora.
