Yak-D-Yak is a Sydney based producer drawing influences on the kitsch and groovy eras of the 50s and 60s.
Yak has grown up with the synth and sampler through the 80s and 90s playing in experimental snyth Sydney bands,Legion of Grin,Deus ex Machina,amounst a few.
these days mixes it up with other producers including Minuteman , Fatt Dex and soul,funk band the Modernists.
Forever looking for the ultimate groove and draw on influences like Jackknife Lee and Fatboy,Burt,Bert, Beck,Art of Noise,Yello,De Phazz etc
Also love TV and the kitsch B grade movies ,John Waters and Russ Meyer (RIP) are favourites.
