. Our life here lasts but for just a moment in all of eternity. And we do not know when our candle will flicker out. For some it may be ninety or more years for others it last just moment while for others we only see between 20 to thirty. The thing is this. When that moment comes, where will you go? Were will you spend all eternity. This is a very important question to answer no matter how concerned you are about it. Most people would agree that it is important to look into the Elevator shaft before entering it. Not closing our eyes and carelessly trusting that it is there just to find your-self plummeting 40 stories because of misplaced trust in the elevator. Instead we examine it to make sure that the elevator actually showed up to take us on our journey to where we wanted to go in the first place. Well the same holds true for death. We can’t carelessly wait until we die to find out where we are going to go. We need to check what is on the other side before we get there.. Now there are many claims as to what happens. Lets see, reincarnation, we become a vaporous gas, if we work hard enough we go to be with 72 virgins, we take a dirt nap forever, oh and here is two of my favorites, whatever your reality is what will happen and we are all of someone’s dream, but the one that I believe to be true is When we die we will stand before a Holy and Just God and be judged by him. No matter what you believe only one of us can be right, something that many do not like to say today because it might offend someone. Well here it is. I would rather offend you and see you learn the truth because of it and be saved, rather have worried about offending you make you feel really good about going to the place the Bible talks about all those who have rejected Christ will go, Hell.. So, here is the question. Who goes to hell? Well this is what the Bible tells us.1 Cor 6:9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 1 Cor 6:10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.. Let’s look at what God uses as his rule or Law, Which is the Ten Commandments.1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Have you always put God first in everything that you have done, have you always thanked him for the Air that you breath for being able to wake in the morning and having a heart beat or are you like every2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth: Today’s Idols are not always made of wood, stone or metal. Today it is our music our sports or even ourselves. Again we all are guilty of this. Our biggest idol is ourselves. Our own selfishness is first shown the day we are born and cry to have our needs met.3. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Have you ever said Oh my G_ _ or even Gosh or used the holy name of God in any way other than in reverence, then you are guilty of breaking this as well4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Have you always made it to church at least one day during the week and kept it to the side as a holy day, if not you have broken this one as well.5. Honor thy father and thy mother. Has your parents ever gotten mad at you, had to tell you something more than once in order for you to do something. Did you ever disobey Mom or Dad? Then you are like the rest of us and have broken this as well.6. Thou shalt not kill. Jesus said that if you hate your Brother that you are a murderer at heart. So God is looking at the intentions of our hearts not just the actions. So you are guilty just by you intentions without lifting a finger7. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Jesus said that if you look at someone with lust you have already committed Adultery in your heart. So again you have broken this with you thoughts and intentions without action.8. Thou shalt not steal. Have you ever taken anything regardless of how much it cost or how long ago it was. If you have you are a thief9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Lies, how many lies have you ever told in you life by doing this you are a liar, even if you only told one lie it makes you a liar.10. Thou shalt not covet. And if you have ever wanted something that was not yours you have coveted it.. The problem is, is that we have all broken all these laws. Even Jesus said if we are guilty of breaking just one we have broken them all.. So then we all deserve Hell according to this because we would all be found guilty of breaking Gods law. And because he can not allow sin to be in his presents and he must punish sin we are all in big trouble on judgment day.. There is good news. Just as in a court of law there must be payment made for the trespassing of the law. 2000 years ago Jesus did just that. He was God in the Flesh. This very claim is what made the Pharisees seek his death, because he made this claim. Read the first Chapter of John where it says: In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and Was God and the Word Became Flesh, if you read further down it then tells us that the flesh dwelt among us and was Jesus Christ. This is one of the clearest passages to the deity of Jesus. Jesus was the one who knew no sin and became sin for us. And when Jesus was nailed to the cross God poured out his entire wrath on Jesus. Jesus became our payment for us. There are only three things you can do for this. You must Repent, turn away from your sins and put your trust in Jesus. You must die to yourself and surrender to God.. Again, check out the claims that Jesus and the Bible makes. If I am wrong in most cases anyone that believes something different than what the Bible teaches will fine no matter what. But if you are wrong you are taking the biggest gamble you can ever make. You might as well close your eyes and step into an elevator with no cable or box, because your chances are better. Remember it does not matter what you or I believe. It only matters what is true. And if the Bible is true as I believe it is, then we all need to seriously look into the claims that it is making.. .
