Influences: I've got too many artists and musicians to list, but the people within my daily life that influence me the most are those with passion. Straightforward men and women of integrity that are able to show Christ's love without having to use the "Christianese" rhetoric. Say anything you want to me to convince me what you believe in, but if you show it through your decisions, relationships, interactions, and reactions in life, you are only then effectively displaying your true character. People like this are contagious. I personally am still working on becoming one of these people of passionate conviction.
These days, religion has become widely viewed as just a list of rules or strings to attach to your life. When trying to reach unsaved people, these predispositions tend to turn people off to really absorbing the core message of Christianity- a personal relationship with the father God and his son Jesus along with the powerful conviction of a Spirit-filled life.
So now I am striving to be like one of these people that influenced me to make the shift out of darkness. I want to communicate that knowing and believing God leads to an AMAZING life! I want to visibly show that becoming a Christian didn't hold me back from anything, but instead it set me FREE to begin a new, more fulfilling life in Christ. So let's all remember to put God FIRST in our lives so we can be passionate influencers too!
