About Me

buy PETALS at cdbaby.com

The Patrick Wolff Trio formed around a steady engagement in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The experience of a regular performance in front of warm audiences gave way to a tight repertoire of reworked jazz standards, originals, and interpretations of songs from a diverse mix of musical traditions. After 4 years of playing together, the trio balances adventurous improvisation and highly dynamic interaction. As members of the MTA's Music Under New York program, the trio brings live jazz to unsuspecting audiences of innocent subway riders several times a week. Patrick Wolff has performed with Shane Endsley, Calexico, Fuji music legend Adewale Ayuba, Judi Silvano, VaVa China, and Kayo Dot, has toured extensively with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and can be seen regularly with local afrobeat heroes Asiko.
