ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Leopold's work has been published in the Los Angeles Times, The Nation, Salon, The Wall Street Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle, and numerous other national and international publications. Leopold has appeared on CNBC and National Public Radio as an expert on energy policy and has also been the keynote speaker at more than two-dozen energy industry conferences around the country.
Leopold is one of the top five independent journalists selected for this year's Project Censored Award, given to the 25 most important underreported stories of the year. His story about Halliburton's dealings in Iran, "Halliburton Secretly Doing Business with Key Member of Iran's Nuclear Team," will be published in the fall of 2006 in Seven Stories' release Censored 2007. Leopold currently writes about foreign and domestic policy online for the Truthout.org. Leopold lives with his wife in Beverly Hills, California.
