About Me

Matt Molchen’s witty storytelling prowess first became evident during his impressively lengthy six-year stint as an undergrad at Penn State. Before becoming serious about comedy, however, he spent a few years in the “glamorous” hotel and restaurant management industry and then went on to spend several more years traversing through various levels of salesman hell, hawking everything from fake Rolexes to used cars to custom-made suits. Now he can be seen on stage hawking his assorted brand of acute observational humor. To boil it down, Matt’s comedy is much like hanging out with your favorite college drinking buddy; righteously fun and sometimes in your face.
Matt is Second City-trained and has featured for such recognizable acts as Jeff Dunham, Jeremy Hotz, and John Pinette. He is a regular opener for Billy Elmer as well as opened for Robert Schimmel, Louis Anderson, Rich Vos and the list goes on... He has done several comedy club and college appearances throughout the country, and has been a finalist in several competitions including the Fall Down Laughing Comedy Contest at the esteemed Pittsburgh Improv. Matt is audaciously entertaining.
