Ive been making and repairing guitars for around 8 years now! Ive been playing for around 16 years. Still learnin chords though.haha. I run my business out of guitarguitar in glasgow (downstairs). I learned my trade under the ever watchfull eyes of Bill kelday and Paul Hyland at anniesland college. I then studied for a further 2 years at London Guildhall University which really helped hone my skills.Since coming back from there I began in a small workshop in the front of redeye studios in Clydebank. There I started taking my first orders for guitars and began making them as soon as possible. I had really great guys like Steve and Alan Rielly who were the recording technicians there touting and recording my guitars for me too which helped bring in business and get me established and known in the area.Before long I was taking in a lot of repairs as well as the building side of it and building up my own clientel. I then started diong repairs for guitarguitar in Edinburgh and when they opened thier Glasgow store in the trongate it was a logical move to move my premises thier as it was more central to the city centre.And thats where Ive been since.
