I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Hello, my name is Scott Edward Haugen, I'm twenty-eight, I live in downtown Fargo and I've been here for nine years.I am a recent graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead where I earned a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in English Literature. I was highly involved at my campus during my tenure there. I served two terms as President of MSUM College Democrats, was Founder and Co-Chairman of MSUM Students for Hillary Clinton, a Senator in the MSUM Student Senate, the state-recognized Minnesota State University Student Association GOTV (Get Out the Vote) Representative, an Executive Leader of the MSUM Campus Freethought Alliance and a member of TOCAR (Training Our Campuses Against Racism).During the winter and spring of 2008 I worked for Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign in Minnesota, and in the spring, summer and fall of 2008 I worked as the Director of Campaign Field Operations and Deputy Campaign Manager for State Senator Tim Mathern (D-ND), the Democratic nominee for Governor of North Dakota, and also, later in the campaign season, as an Adviser and Strategist for the Mitch Vance for State Treasurer (D-ND) campaign. In the fall of 2008 I served as the North Dakota State Director of the HCAN (Health Care for America NOW!) campaign. I am the Treasurer of Legislative District 21 for the North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party and a board member of PEPP (People Escaping Poverty Project) of Fargo-Moorhead. I am presently working as a Community Organizer for Change That Works-North Dakota. If you're interested, you can also find me on Facebook (www.facebook.com/scottedwardhaugen) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/sehaugen).
