About Me

My solo project which involves me, john rowell predominantly using acoustic guitars with lo-fi leanings.Prosuction is my first collection of solo works Ive managed to package into an EP. Rather, it was a collection of riffs and sketchy vocal ideas that I wanted to develop into the following premise: to conceive, finalise and package/record each song within the first couple of takes.This enabled, I hope, some degree of originality as each song was not overly thought out as such over-thought could possibly lead to less lo-fi and more, sounds like the rest. The disadvantage, to a seasoned sound editing pro or keen music listener, will be that it sounds hastened and under-produced (hence the title prosuction). These things might be addressed come the follow-up EP, but til then, enjoy these lo-fi acoustic numbers.My main band is Premier Nights for which I play guitar and sing in. check em at www.myspace.com/premiernights Drums is my other passion and until late 2006 I had been gigging successfully in and around the local London haunts. ..

plum tree get’s radio airplay! - FBi Radio 94.5FM Sydney

plum tree got a bit of airplay on 15january 2008 when it was played during FBi's 'in the pines' program which runs tues nights 9-11pm. FBi are a respected indie radio station.
