About Me

BIOGRAPHY “Spida” aka Christopher Boswell, was born in Kingston Jamaica, and was raised in various parts of the city of Kingston weaned on dancehall and reggae. Spida moved from Kingston to settle in Bellefield, a small district located in the parish of Manchester. His childhood influences ran far, ranging from the updated dancehall styling to idolizing artists such as Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye and Papa San.In 1989, Spida moved to New Jersey where he later crossed path with Wycliff Jean, producer and member of the multi-platinum hip-hop trio “Fugees”. By 1993, Spida joined the “Refugee Camp” and toured non-stop over the world.He gained immediate recognition, appearing on MTV, BET, The Apollo and live radio interviews. He recorded a reggae re-mix “Nappy Head” from the Fugees first album that contributed to the early recognition of the Fugees. Other collaborations by Spida includes “Call The Police” with Ini Kamoze (Bad Boys Sound Track), a duet with of the group Melky Sedeck titled “Body Music” (2 Euro Chart for 3 (three) weeks) and co-production for Rodney Kendricks with guest Fat Joe and Sunz Of Men (Wu-Tang-Clan).Fresh from the Refugee Camp to Tarantula Squad, Spida is Ready to share his Music with the Look for the album “Forgotten One” in 2007 (Due to the recent signing to Akon's Konvict Muzik lable, this Bio will be updated soon)
