Pro-Anti Records is an independent record label run by Grant Dow (MALbeats) dealing with punk, hardcore, metal and alternative rock types of music, mainly bands from the south of Switzerland.
Engineer/mixer/producer & drummer, Grant (sometimes credited as MALbeats) began his musical career 24 years ago in his teens playing bass guitar then drumming in a hardcore punk band in Peterborough, U.K. After several years of performing and touring with various bands all over Europe, and sharing the stage with bands such as The Almighty CRO-MAGS, AGNOSTIC FRONT, BIOHAZARD, NEUROSIS, UNSANE, CLUTCH and many others, he became always more interested in the art of recording and producing. With a strong punk D.I.Y. ethic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIY_ethic) together with a friend he started the now defunkt “Malfunction Records†and in the space of 10 years they released 14 CD’s, 5 of them entirely recorded and mixed by MALbeats. Other recordings made by MALbeats are a series of classical music concerts in a local church which have also been released on CD.
Pro-Anti Records is dedicated in making low budget, high quality recordings, either in our home studio or at the bands own rehearsal space. Some of the bands MALbeats has recorded / produced are: REAL DEAL, MYDEVICE, VOMITIORS, NAIVE, PLANET CRASH, OPEN CLOSE MY EYES, REFERENCE 21, BRONCO, IMPERIAL, KOTRON, NATALIE CHANDRA...just to name a few. and Pro-Anti Records has just released the debut full length CD from KOTRON, Locarno's finest punk band.
