HAPPY ACCIDENTS : my follow up album using my own studio equipment at this stage, recorded during 2003 - 2005 in eire, this multilayered acoustic album represents to me success in overcoming some major challenges in life, released in 2006 it required more production values, attaining these in 2008 i was then satisfied that it was complete. THE STONE SKIMMER : is an album dedicated to the irish low whistle, combined with a plethora of artists and styles from dub reggae to contemporary folk to tribal african this record is both intimate and cinematic, recorded as far as perth and melbourne in australia to cork in ireland between 2003-2007, it was mastered using my own studio in 2007. SONGS TO BLESS THE RAIN : is the album that i attempted in 1997, an intimate, well recorded collection of acoustic songs that captured the moment in time, it was recorded in melbourne australia using my own equipment that i had freighted over during dec/jan 2008, my cousin con ongarezos played amongst this album with guitar, bazouki and harmonies, and steered it in the right direction. THE FOXHUNTERS JIG is an album currently under concept, the audio is still slowly being recorded and may be complete sometime in 2009, this album contains tracks recorded mar-may 2008, tracks from all three albums previous that never made it onto the final records, and songs being currently produced in spain and portugal with carlos.c. you can hear two tracks on this myspace. oisin was a part of the dublin music scene in the late 90,s, an incredibly intense and enjoyable moment in time that fostered a great deal of musicians with amazing talent, he moved to cork to produce his ' happy accidents album, and when complete went to melboure australia for the experience and performance. oisin then travelled to brighton in england intending to stay involved in the vibrant music scene, however the accidental loss of his complete set of low whistles seen him returning to donegal and the west coast to replace his instruments.. returning to cork oisin moved around ireland and produced and performed for a year as a solo artist and most notably with the the african band motema as a low whistle player and percussionist, a move to the irish speaking area of waterford in an isolated cottage for 9 months produced a great body of work in his studio,'the stone skimmer' was the result... oisin then relocated to kinsale in cork and began working on writing songs with his new handcrafted guitar (model 8) made by martin faherty for oisin. a further move to melbourne, australia with studio in tow produced ' songs to bless the rain '. back to cork to put together artwork and revamp the other albums , a short stint with some tibetian musicians then off to the south of spain with a smaller studio set-up. oisin is now set to return to ireland possibly back to his origins of donegal, stay posted..
