ME: Singer, songwriter, guitarist, choir leader, music workshop facilitator, freelance community musician, traveler, student of life.SOLO STUFF: I play guitar and sing my own songs and original arrangements of folk music from around the world.BAND STUFF: I play guitar and sing in a trio with Nick Jenkins on the fiddle and Ms. Kathryn Dawson on Flute and beautiful harmonies. We have an amazingly varied set ranging from Scottish traditional tunes, through African influences to contemporary folk, jazz and blues.WORKSHOPS: I run workshops, primarily focusing on voice and singing confidence. I recently completed an MSc at University of Edinburgh in Music in the Community, which gave me a wide range of practical and theoretical knowledge of Community Music applications with many different user groups.CHOIR: I created the forest Choir in 2006 and it is going from strength to strength. Based at the Forest Community Cafe on Bristo Place in Edinburgh, the Choir is free, open to all regardless of perceived ability and run on a drop in basis. We perform at the end of each term.
