About Me

My main interest's are 50's - 60's style Kustom Cars, harley's and Being a member of THE CUSTOM SHIFTERS CAR CLUB. A little history about the Club... it started up back in San Jose by a bunch of high school buddies in the early 60's. We had the standard car stuff from back then like Model A's, 32 coupes, 40's and 50's Hot Rods and Kustom cars. The Club grew to about 20 members in a very short time, recruiting form high school and other guys we met dragging the main in downtown San Jose. Thing were going pretty good... but a lot was happing back in the med 60's... members started to drift apart because Guys got married starting having families... some of us got DRAFTED and some of us fell into that new thing riding Harley Choppers and of course the muscle car era was going full bore too. Like they say the 60's were good ta us... maybe too good!!! Sense the club disbanded in the late sixties a few of us old members had been kicking around the idea of starting the club back up for years. It finally happened in January 2001. Six of us original members got together and started up again. Four of us are still active members, Glen, Gary, Art and Benny who drew the original logo for the jackets back in the day when he was 17 year old kid. We thought of updating the logo, but common sense prevailed and we kept with the original design. The club has 15 members now and with the new young Guys and Gals members coming in the club is stronger then ever. We are open to all types of cars, Hot rods, Street Rods, Customs, lo buck home built to high buck pro built as long as they are pre 62 and you want to drive them!!! We are all glad to see the Hot rod / Kustom car Kulture doing so well these days and i'm proud to still be a part of it... Keep on driven... I'ts what it's all about....
