Smith is the founding pastor of Church of the Lord's Harvest (COTLH) a vibrant, growing and Christ-centered ministry located in Laurel, Maryland. Overseer Smith and COTLH's vision is to manifest truth and change through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to develop, train, and equip a generation of disciples to become radical harvesters in the world through worship and work.He is also the newly installed Senior Pastor of Cathedral of Life in Temple Hills, MD, succeeding Bishop Alan G. Porter. Cathedral of Life is an emerging ministry called to build a people that will build a church to become a community.A servant is how he defines his posture. The Overseer has served the Church as a youth pastor, counselor and evangelist. He is much sought after to minister at conferences, revivals and seminars. Modeling his personality and life after Christ, Overseer Smith becomes a man of low estate so he may win and add souls to the Kingdom.In 2000, Overseer Smith established the Asbury Teen Enrichment Center in Severna Park, MD that assists in the artistic, academic, social and spiritual development of young people.Prior to beginning pastoral ministry, Steve had influence in the marketplace. He was employed as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore, which is the sole private/public partnership that merges business, government and educational institutions to attract new business and investment to the Greater Baltimore region. He presently enjoys being employed full time by the honorable Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. and the Rainbow PUSH Coalition.Overseer Smith is also a gatekeeper in his city, also serving as an active part of the Laurel Clergy Association, to unite the leadership of the Christian community of Laurel in prayer, mutual encouragement, and the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom; and to work with other community leaders to address pressing issues which affect the citizens of Greater Laurel, especially those least able to help themselves.His ministry extends beyond the boundaries of Laurel and is making impact globally. In 2005, Bishop Bernard N. Bragg and the Beth-El Churches of Christ appointed Overseer Smith the Adjutant-Apostolic of the reformation, and later designated him Bishop Suffragan in the Lord’s Church at the 17th Annual Holy Convocation. During the 18th Holy Convocation of the reformation, he was appointed an Overseer with the oversight of the Office of the Holy See. He is presently in adjudication, awaiting consecration to his designated Episcopal Office.He also shares a dual alignment with Bishop Ralph L. Dennis and the Kingdom Fellowship Covenant Ministries.The Overseer is sensitive and skilled in the ways, worship and word of the Lord. As a seer set in the Body, Overseer Smith's prophetic insight captivates and causes deeply rooted issues to be resolved by the power and presence of God.
