About Me

Singer-songwriter Greg Scott has quickly become one of the most recognizable and called upon artists in the San Francisco Bay Area. His voice can be heard on numerous artist recordings as well as the popular Encore 2 video game.Greg’s extensive live resume includes performances at venues such as Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson’s Sugar Bar (NYC), Yoshi's (Oakland), The Village Underground (NYC), The Boom Boom Room (SF) and Chico State University. Greg has performed with The Platters Motown Review, multi-platinum recording artists K-Ci & JoJo, and Eric Martin from Mr. Big.Greg’s musical roots go back to Chico, California where he grew up listening to his father’s rock and soul band and getting a heavy dose of music on the radio. A multi instrumentalist, Greg enjoys creating from the ground up with basic guitar and piano as well as collaborating with others.Influenced as a performer and songwriter by Prince, Stevie Wonder, and Donny Hathaway, Greg’s music is a blend of melodic and electric rhythmic textures molded into a unique musical sculpture of sound. His recent recording “Bring Me Back” is a fresh R&B/Soul/Pop collection of songs inspired by soul greats. Greg feels as at home in “the SPACE,” his Marin-County based recording studio writing and producing for his next commercial recording as he is on stage performing with the dynamic Greg Scott Band."While so much uncertainty has been affecting our world, working on ‘Bring Me Back’ for the better part of the past year in the studio has been eye opening and rewarding for me. At the same time, it’s been like sitting in a dark cave in isolation, growing a beard. Now I’m ready shave that beard off, hit the stage with this band of killer musicians and share the dance floor with everyone who wants to listen, celebrate, and join me in Bringing Back the light and joy of celebrating just being alive.” - Greg Scott

Sounds Like: ERIC MARTIN - SINGER/SONGWRITER FORMER LEAD VOCALIST OF MR. BIG SAYS:"I met this young man at a local watering hole a few months ago and he gave me a CD to listen to. Now I've got to tell ya folks most of the stuff I have been given in the past years has been OK or just works in progress sort of speak and that's the nice explanation. And no I don't use them for coasters, Frisbees maybe. Anyway I listened to a couple of songs this kid sang and I thought I was listening to a Stevie Wonder record that I hadn't heard before. Well after I picked my jaw off the floor I called this guy and praised him for his God given talent. I can't wait to sing with him; we all have got to check this guy out."Check out Eric at these links:http://www.ericmartin.comhttp://www.myspace.com/ericma rtinbandCLAYTOVEN - WRITER/PRODUCER/BACKROUND VOCALIST"I've been in the studio and on the stage with some of the greatest folks in the business and let me tell you - Greg Scott is one of the most dynamic vocalists and performers that I've seen in a very long time. He performs more like a veteran than someone who is as young as he is."Check him out at:http://www.claytoven.com/TONY LINDSAY – ARTIST/PRODUCER AND FORMER LEAD VOCALIST FOR SANTANA SAYS:“I’m impressed by his vocal range, style, and energy on stage. I look forward to seeing Greg and working with him in the future.”http://www.myspace.com/tonylindsaymusicJASMIEN - SINGER/VOCAL PRODUCER/COACH“Anytime he sings people just lose it I’ve never seen anything like it.
