The Spoon and Fork Family

"Folks never know" brags Chasta "Until I say the clue: I wear fire-red ribbons, while Les wears bows of blue."They awoke one day, and raced downstairs to eat. Some milk, a pear (no oatmeal) Made breakfast a fine treat!Then up stairs they scooted and dove into the tub. They splished and splashed like fishes, and now and then they'd scrub.They then slipped quickly into each a lovely yellow dress. "Hooray, this is fine!" bragged Chasta "Lovely, indeed!" bragged Les.And then a tent-stage opened (Hooray a puppet show!) "Ow!" Down fell poor Chasta as Les cried "Oh, no!""Here are some hats," cried Chasta "Just try one on for size." Then a boy tipped Chasta's forward, and covered up her eyes.Their friends all sang songs, and ate ice cream and cake. Until they lost their voices.. and all had tummy-aches.Too soon the day ended, Les and Chasta both shed a tear. Then smiled as they remembered, they could be friends all year!
