Television:

Either Turner Classic or the Travel Channel seem to be on in the background at most times. If the travel channel goes to the south pacific, you can just clear my schedule. Arrested Development remains hilarious no matter how many times i watch it. I love the animation, particularly The Simpsons, Wallace and Gromit, Loony Tunes, or Spongebob (helps me relate with my nephews, and i just like it anyway, dammit). Got a little obsessed with the Freaks and Geeks dvd a short while back. Sometimes i'll turn on the discovery channel in hopes of finding an astronomy or aquatic themed documentary.

Books:

Oscar Wilde remains a perennial favorite. Love the Harry Potter books, The Alchemist, The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, Sherlock Holmes mysteries, Jonathon Strange and Mr. Norrell, Live Fast Die Young was fascinating, Herman Hesse books...I was a philosophy major in college (and a film minor - what a horrible cliche), and i still enjoy confusing myself over Wittgenstein, Kant, Camus, and the likes there of. I also love books that deal with old hollywood and early cinema, the jazz age, and pulp magazine art.
