WELCOME TO MY WORLD!!!My experiences as a make-up artist over the past ten years have been exemplary! My job is to accentuate a client's individual natural attributes and conceal any imperfections or least flattering features. My techniques embrace the client's type and color of skin, age, personality, style, season and event or occasion.I have acquired extensive knowledge and skills through opportunities with various cosmetic companies. These companies include Stila, Prescriptives, Smashbox, Yves Saint Laurent, and Nars. As an employee of these high caliber cosmetic companies, all of my training for the last ten years has been hands-on. I participate in continuous seasonal trainings by some of the best trainers in artistry, learning new, easy and creative ways to give my client's the look they desire. I've been the make-up artist for entertainers, CEO's and politicians such as Debra Lee, President/COO of BET Television Network, Congresswoman Katherine Harris, etc. I also work on call with celebrity Trichologist Stylist, Hair and Scalp Specialist, Dr. Keith Harley, Jr. I am constantly booked for private make-up events on Capitol Hill, corporate videos, print advertisements, weddings, runway, theatre, and television.I gained a professional knowledge through training as a broadcaster from Columbia School of Broadcasting. I have assisted instructors at the school in teaching make-up application, technique, and color chose for television make-up for men and woman. In the spring of 07' at Columbia School of Broadcasting I was requested to give personalized application/consultations to a number of students, i.e., one-on-one basis. I currently work with Xclusive Apparel Designs creating fashion editorials and video film make-up.An exhilarating by-product of my cosmetic career has been my personal development as an entertainment journalist. I've been in this field of work since 1997. I have prepared written personnel and career profiles of the interviewees for CUE Magazine. I have interviewed artists such as Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Jermaine Dupri, Dru Hill, Donell Jones, Rahsaan Patterson, Montel Jordan, and many others.I have been working as a national television host for The Jewelry Channel for the last year. While working as a host of The Jewelry Channel, I have had the opportunity to travel to Thailand and film documentaries based on the jewelry making process. I have also done voice over work and commercials for The Jewelry Channel. In October of 2007, The Jewelry Channel joined forces with an organization named one of Forbes Magazines top ten Charities.....Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Texas. I was requested to speak at this inspirational conference about what it takes to accomplish your life dreams.
