NASHVILLE – January 31, 2008 – Black River Music Group has announced the signing of singer and songwriter Sarah Darling. Although the buzz about Darling's move to BRMG has been on the street for some time, General Manager Jimmy Nichols made the announcement official today.
“Sarah represents everything that’s great about our business,†says Nichols. “She’s got an amazing voice, writes melodic, hooky songs, and is as down-to-earth as the Iowa roots she comes from. We want the whole world to get to know Sarah Darling.â€
A professional singer by the age of 15, Darling later branched into modeling and acting. Three years ago, she gained national recognition by becoming a finalist on the Wayne Newton-hosted TV show, The Entertainer.
Darling will also affiliate with the publishing division of Black River Music Group. "When people hear Sarah's voice, they will be instant fans," promises
BRMG Publishing chief Rob Hendon. “And when they get to know her, they will be lifelong fans.â€
Darling will soon head into the studio to record her first album, with Nichols serving as producer. The album is due out in mid-2008.
