Bio:
Rushian are mainly three brothers. They play together since the turn of the millennium. Guido has been involved in the band Lunatic Friends, who was joined shortly by Wim as well. Guido has been playing in some other bands, including Innocent Exile, Baby Dread (with Tom Wolf), The Unknown (with Yves "Vis" Meerschaert) and Trio Drie (wedding songs). After the demise of Trio Drie he teamed up with his brother Wim to start their own band. They soon started writing their own songs. They are influenced by bands such as The Police, The Cure, The Smiths and U2, their longtime heroes. Guido perfected a harmonic and fluent guitar style. They tried out several singers, to find out they had to follow their own voice. They were soon joined by their youngest brother Jan. He has played the piano since his childhood years and propelled the band to their current sound. This leans heavily on guitars and piano. In the meantime they have been recording material worth an album at several studio's with a host of guest appearances. A typical song is Bright Blue Day, which features those bright guitars, piano and well-arranged strings and backing vocals. The album Soledad is available now with a brand new sleeve and booklet, containing the lyrics to all ten, original songs. It features beautiful pics & artwork by Guido & Daisy Milster.
