I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I don't have kids or obligations outside of work and the missus- except for a large orange cat and a smaller cross-eyed cat. I try to tell a lot of jokes with bizarre, obscure references, sometimes people don't get them, it's OK. I an enamoured by the macabre and think thinking is worth thinking about. I talk fast and switch subjects without little segue- keep up. I have been called many things and perfect isn't one of them. I'm comfortable with me and you should be too. If we don't get along, that's no reason we shouldn't race to the bottom of a glass- it almost always helps. I do imitations/imitations/chracters and most people I know are sick of them, but I keep doing them anyway because they are funny to me. Maybe I will take my mother's advice and find a way to make money off them one day, quesas. I try to keep motivated and live life to the fullest, but life often gets in the way. I took nine years of French (but never been to France, even though I have friends living in Paris, which I find a growing personal conundrum) and my car is too fast. A helpful note on who I am NOT: a quasi-famous actor who was in a movie in which he 'ate' other people, a professional baseball player with questionable drug utilization or a dignified Dartmouth Molecular Toxicology Professor with an impressive C.V. On an untirely unrelated note, I want to learn Spanish and although I am afraid of heights, I've sky-dived and stood on the glass floor at the CN tower.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Jenn said awhile back that I should "be nicer" but I want to be honest too. I suspect she meant "be more positive", but I don't know for sure, I neither asked for clarification, nor did she provide it. Truthfully, I don't know who I'd like to meet nor do I expect to really meet anyone here, but it would be nice if they were cool. I HAVE found some nifty bands. Truthfully, I don't wake up in the morning and decide how my day is going to play out, but I still attempt to influence my surroundings. I have my goals, my dreams and aspirations and I work with what I've got to pursue them- I will undoubted meet many people in the process, come good, some bad. Navigating all the obstacles is what life is about; I can deal and you should be able to as well. I appreciate motivation, passion, intelligence and humor. You should have an opinion about things that you can explain with reasoning other than "that's what the Bible says" or "that's what Richard Dawkins says" because if that's the only line you are going to stick to, we probably shouldn't talk, cause it will be short. It's OK to disagree or say "I don't know", just so long as you are thinking about why you have an opinion and are critical of wherever you got it. I often find myself suprised, so drop me a line if you would like to attempt to suprise me.
