The mysterious PAST PERFECT were formed in Athens during December 2000. They started playing cover versions of bands such as Joy Division, Dead Can Dance, The Sisters of Mercy and Nick Cave. Pretty soon it became obvious that they needed to play their own original material so after many gigs they ended up with their first 12 tracks. Gig by gig, their sound was developed into a unique dark atmosphere, using loops and sound effects while using projectors on stage. On April 2002, PAST PERFECT transferred all the feelings of their live performances in the studio to give us a fresh dark wave sound. Their theatrical point of view gives a new breath to what we knew so far as Gothic Rock. 2003 The contract with Cyberdelia records is signed. The agreement is for 4 years - 3 albums. PAST PERFECT decide to add two more recorded tracks to their album. A couple of weeks later , greek and foreign mags start asking to interview the band and their first manager starts talking with them for a business cooperation. The album is titled "WHISPERS OF SOULS IN SILENCE" and was about be launched on March but due to factory's problems the release is postponed.. PAST PERFECT are on the front cover of the Greek music mag IN ROCK on the April issue. An unreleased track (Land of Trydoubt) of the band is featured on the sampler CD of the Greek Music mag ROCK'N'ROLL. The track was recorded during a live performance of the group. On April the 19th the band appears live on the stage of AN club in Athens and on April the 23rd, their album "WHISPERS OF SOULS IN SILENCE" is finaly released. ............................................................
.........................................Darkedelic Sounds was primarily founded as a vehicle for releasing and promoting Past Perfect's second album and to act as an independent label. Future plans include releases, promotion and support for other acts as well as concert organisation. There is already a proposal from Darkedelic Sounds to a greek band (english lyrics) concerning their first CD release. The name of the band is soon to be announced, as soon as both sides will come to an agreement
