About Me

Coming September 1st, 2008

Bang The Party

Rockhard Productions was founded in Kingston Ontario in 1997. As you might see by the name, it was a conversation about pornography that lead to it's creation. Although, I do assure you, we have not, nor plan on, making any porns. Sorry.
What Rockhard Productions has done in the past has produced and developed television shows for Cogeco Cable, as well as a number of radio programs on CFRC Queens radio 101.9 fm.
In 2002, Rockhard Productions produced the documentary "Break the Wave" which examined Surfing in Nova Scotia. The film premiered at the Maritimes film festival, as well as being featured at the Indonesia Film Festival.
Following "Break the Wave", Rockhard produced an independent film titled "358".
After a short break, we have continued our efforts to develop various forms of entertainment under the Rockhard name. On September 1st, "Bang the Party" will be the first new project that Rockhard has developed in a number of years.
And that is not all.
On October 1st, we will begin production on the next Rockhard movie.
Hopefully you will get a chance to watch some of our work, and if so, please don't hesitate to let us know what you think.
Release date for "Bang the Party" is September 1st, 2008.
Taking a look inside the world of Street Promotion, "Bang the Party" is a 82 minute documentary that examines 2 specific methods that are used to promoted various hiphop/rave events. Those methods are Flyering and Postering.
After interviewing various artists, graphic designers, promoters, city officials and street team members, we hope that "Bang the Party" has captured a slice of life that flies under the radar.
September 1st is the street date for the DVD release of "Bang the Party". During the course of the fall and winter season, "Bang the Party" will be circulating the Festival circuit.
This project is a non-profit endeavor.
