I am a musician for more than 24 years. I do not even remember why I started playing in the first place. Bought my first drum kit in 1985 and after a year of practice at home, I joined my first hard rock band.
ASYLUM
And to me, your first band is really about learning to play together with other musicians and trying to write songs. Although we never recorded anything, we did perform live for a total of 3 live concerts. After 18 months I left this band in 1988 to join my second band.
M-BUSH
Most of the melodic hard rock songs were already written and after 3 months of rehearsals, I played my first live gig with them. With this band I recorded 1 demo and did app: 16 live concerts. Because of some personal problems at the time I left in 1989.I joined another band in 1990.
GOIZE LUDWIGSON
Although it was not really a hard rock band, but more pop rock, I enjoyed playing this music. After recording 2 demos and a lot of live shows, I left the band in 1993.Joined the next band that same year.
X NOWHERE
For 2 years we wrote many progressive rock songs, but never could find a suitable singer. Because of that we did not record any songs nor did we play live. We just gave up and went our separate ways.In 1994 I was asked to join the hard rock band
ALTER EGO
while I was still in my previous band. In fact, I already did 2 live shows with them in 1993, as a temporary replacement. But it did not work out with their drummer, and I was asked for a second time. With them I recorded 1 album and played many live shows. The band fell apart in 1995, but reunited with its original members a few years ago.At this time I promised myself never to join another band again, and started concentrating myself on studio recordings instead. Through a mutual friend I met someone who wrote songs and owned a recording studio. We started working together and for the next 10 years I layed down drum tracks for some 250 songs.
In 1998 after 3 years of studio sessions, I missed the feeling of playing in a band again, and being on stage. Saw an ad in a music magazine that this band was looking for a drummer. After a call they invited me to come and see them play live with a drummer who was helping them out. That band was
CIRRHA NIVA
and after an audition, I became their new drummer. To this day I am still a member, and with me as a member we have recorded 2 demos, 2 albums and did numerous live shows. In September 2006 I was approached by the band
ALTER EGO X
with the question if I would like to play a few gigs with them as they fired their drummer but still had a few shows left to play. As I had only 2 weeks to learn all their songs (again), It was a challenge for me to see if I could pull it off. After spending one week at home listening to their albums, I discovered that I remembered the old songs pretty well, so I mostly concentrated myself on the songs from their latest album. After two rehearsals I played a total of 6 shows with the band and one of them has been recorded for a Live DVD, released in August 2007.MySpace Layouts ..
