Holding it down for Austin, Texas is J. Hustle, a member of Prophit Camp and a powerhouse production company called 45th Productions. Born on November 25th 1985, this native Austinite continues to raise the bar in creating music in a very competitive music industry. Beginning his journey at the young age of 11, J. Hustle learned to play a large variety of percussion instruments. It was then he knew he had a special passion for music. From that point on he never looked back. It was only when he grew older that he then became more interested in song writing, audio engineering, and producing.
Today, J. Hustle is known for his rhyme patterns and lyrical ability to paint images with his words. From writing to recording to producing, mixing and mastering, this 23 year old strives on having a unique style and demeanor. "I try to relate to my listeners in a way that will grab their attention quickly" states Hustle. "My opening bar is the most crucial, because it's the first thing that people hear, and well you always have to make a good first impression" he concludes. That being said, it's noticeably true that a strong delivery is what J. Hustle offers to all of his listeners. With great persistence he continues to entertain rap and hip hop enthusiast all over. Hits like “Tip Topâ€, “Big Facesâ€, and “Duece I'm Outâ€, are proof of his ability to do so.
Impressive credentials include performances and collaborations with many well known producers and artists such as, Salih Williams, Mr. Lee, Russell Lee, Tum Tum, Big Tuck, Lil Keke, Yung Red, Lil Flip and Magno (just to name a few). J. Hustle's first debut was in August of 2007 on “P.I.M.P.â€, which was 45th Productions very first release. On this album he was featured on hits like “Ali Shuffleâ€, and “If Ya Krunkâ€, which is better known now as an ATX street anthem. Following the release J. Hustle was featured on numerous mix tapes around Texas. In more recent news, J. Hustle is now part of a team formed in 45th Productions who call themselves Prophit Camp. This five man triple-threat specializes in audio engineering, music production, and song writing. Prophit Camp is set to release their self-titled debut group album in May of 2009. Also, J. Hustle looks to drop his solo album in the winter of 2009.
Determined to conquer success, and living through the words of Benjamin E. Mays, there's nowhere to go but up for J-Hustle… "Every man is born into the world to do something unique and something distinctive, and if he or she does not do it, it will never be done.†With that being said, he continues to make a name for himself as he marches towards greatness.
