Jamal Mixon BiographyJamal Mixon’s (aka Herculeez) acting journey began by accident over 10 years ago during his childhood days at the Boys & Girls Club in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles. He and his brother (actor Jerod Mixon) attended the Boys & Girls Club regularly as an extra-curricular activity not realizing nor dreaming that it would lead to a world of entertainment and fame that they had only seen in the movies and on television. Jamal and his brother were always entertaining and making the students and staff laugh through their humorous jokes and captivating personalities. They immediately became popular with the local neighborhood and word soon got out about their comedic talent that an intrigued agent contacted Jamal and his brother and quickly signed the duo after meeting them.Shortly thereafter, Jamal landed his first gig playing the role of Eddie Murphy’s little brother Ernie Jr. in the hit 1996 Blockbuster film The Nutty Professor. In the film, Ernie was touted as “Hercules, Hercules, Hercules,†which has become one of the most famous and unforgettable phrases in movie history. Most moviegoers will admit that have seen the movie more than once or must see the movie for the first time because the Hercules dinner scene is a must see and can see over and over again.Since The Nutty Professor, Jamal has been featured in major films including Bulworth (Halle Berry), How to be a Player (Bill Bellamy), The Cookout (Queen Latifah), The Nutty Professor 2-The Klumps (Eddie Murphy), and most recently Gridiron Gang (Dwayne “The Rock†Johnson & Xzibit). Jamal also guest starred in numerous television sitcoms such as The George Lopez Show, Malcolm & Eddie, Moesha, The Parkers, The Proud Family, Good News, and Nickelodeon’s The Big Help. Jamal also recorded and released a successful teen hip-hop album with is brother Jerod titled Chunka-Luv in 1999 which was produced Jermaine Dupri.Jamal’s mission in life is to inspire people to feel good about themselves no matter their size, age, race, or gender. He credits this to his older brother Tyrell "Taco" Mixon, who unfortunately passed away before having the opportunity to see him on the big screen. Tyrell was a positive, energetic and influential role model to Jamal and Jerod and to this day, Jamal uses the advice and energy of his later brother to help guide him through this journey in the entertainment world. For press inquiries including interviews with Jamal Mixon, contact Linda Luna at:
