Joshua (Drummer) Berrios

Me doing a short drum solo with Da Funk Factory: Well...my name is Joshua Berrios and I am a happily married man with 3 beautiful children. My wife Gladys sings in the worship team in my church and i play the drums. So I am very happy that we love the same thing, (which is music). We could talk about it for hours. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me, not only because she came into my life but also she gave me my son. I love you babe. My family and I go to a church in the Bronx called "Harvest Fields Community Church. This church is funky. We play funk,hip-hop,R&B,Gospel. It's crazy yo.I've been playing drums since i can remember. I come from a musical family, my father played guitar, my mother sang, my brother and sisters sang and/or played an instrument. A lot of my cousins also play and sing so i guess it runs in the blood. I love to play drums and i love music,(good music). I am what u call a "pocket drummer". I love drum licks but there is a time for everything. What is important to me is to see my audience bopp'in there heads and moving to the music, Once I see that I know my job is done. You have to remember that 85% - 90% of your audience does not understand all them drum licks, but they understand when the music feels right (pocket). Drummers you are the back bone of the band, your roll is to keep the band lock together.
