Brian Medway arrived in Canada in 1965. He immediately went about the business of starting a band. The Shades of Black was an R&B band that played many BC venues. In 1966 Brian and his manager put together Meddy's People comprised of ex British band mates from Southampton England and a Canadian drummer. They were signed to Quality Records of Canada that same year.In 1975 Brian formed a blues based rock trio called Pegasus. They opened for the Rory Gallagher tour starting at the Kinsmen Fieldhouse in Edmonton, the Victoria Pavillion in Calgary as well as a large venue in Lethbridge. They completed their Western tour by opening at the Gardens in Vancouver. That same year they also opened for Kraftwerk in the Gardens in Vancouver.Pegasus was a three man band that relied heavily on it's blues/rock roots. They carved an impression on the Canadian music scene with dynamic vocals, world class bass, tasteful, driving percussion and classic blues based guitar riffs. All songs played by Pegasus were written by Brian Medway. In December of 1980 the three members of Pegasus reformed to record a heartfelt tribute to John Lennon. "Dear John" and "Photographs" were never released but the memory lives on.Brian Medway is currently recording a number of songs for an album project.
