Omari Milli, Barbados.
He is a lyrical craftsman, with great delivery and tremendous stage presence.
A self motivated and determined artist who aspires to reach newer heights in his young career.
Toronto became his new home and by age 13, he was heavily influence by the hip-hop culture and the art of rapping. He first hit the local scene in 2000 where he performed in a local stage show call Africari in Eglinton Toronto.
He was a member of local rap group called Militant Menaces where he wrote and co- produced projects, including the group first album, for Three Kings Studio in Toronto.
Milli returned to Barbados in 2003 in pursuit of a solo career. Imediately, he was inducted into the 2003 Barbados Hip Hop Festival where he placed third in the freestyle competition. He was asked to guest perform in 2004, 2005 and 2006. In addition, in 2006, at the AND1 Tournament, where he opened for Loyd Banks of the G Unit at the Afterdark Night Club. Other venues are The Shipp Inn, Club Millennium, and Le Club.
Dre 1, Barbados.
Dre 1 is a determined artist with innovative ideas and a desire to be the best at his craft. He grew up on the South Side of Jamaica Queens, New York where in 1995 he was influenced by the Rap and Hip Hop culture of new comers Lost Boyz. He was inspired by the message it sent to inner city youths who could relate to the lyrics and way of life.
However, his rap career began in 2006 when he competed in the Barbadian free style competition “Hit Island 16 Shotâ€.
McNeil, Barbados.
Lived most of his life in Orlando, Florida before returning to his native Barbados to further his solo career. This songwriter/performer, for about eight (8) years, garnered a national distribution deal for his groups’ album with Vision Records of Miami Florida.
He co-produced and edited two independent videos for the group Warhedz. He assisted in finalizing a production company and Record label for the Warhedz.
McNeil performed as an opening act for such artists as Busta Rhymes, Naz, Pharoe Monch and many more. He has toured with Redman and Method Man on the Black Out 2000 Tour where he performed in 30 cities across America. In Addition, he performed also at the House of Blues on Sunset Strip in Los Angeles California.
His move to Barbados brought new beginnings as he released two singles with a local Quartet called “Ambionxâ€. The tracks got heavy rotation on local and regional stations. He followed the successes of these singles with a locally shot video, which runs on a local video countdown show called, “Roamingâ€.
McNeil is a talented artist who puts passion into his music and has the drive and tenacity to accomplish his goals. He is well seasoned and very versatile in his craftsmanship.
LXG formed right after the local free style competition “Hit Island 16 Shot. Destiny was taking its place in bringing these three powerful specialists together and since then; the group has made tremendous strides within a year to become one of the most exciting and captivating rap groups on the island. They Performed at Tims On De Highway, Sir Garfield Sobers Gymnasium for Youth Mania, The annual Hip Hop Festival (2006) at Olympus Theater and at The Ship Inn Nightclub with the Band “Strategyâ€.
The group has recently completed their first album and are co- writers/co-producers beside the in-house producer, Mad Dawg, at Caribbean Records (B’dos) ltd.
