Deprofit

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)Deprofit, aka Kirk De Freitas, comes from Trinidadian roots, but has lived all over the world. After being born in Scotland, he moved to England, Egypt and Singapore, before moving back to Scotand where he currently resides. His extensive travelling as a child exposed him to many different cultures from a very early age, meaning that his surroundings always added a different element to his personality. Kirk often found himself tuning out the monotony of the classroom by scribbling rhymes on scraps of paper, and his earlier works allowed him to escape into a fantasy world that had only read about, or seen on TV. It wasn't until he became older that Kirk began to write about subject matter that was much closer to home. He realized that the best creations come from a very real place, and upon this realization, he began to introduce himself to the world through his music. The majority of his earlier recordings were done "bootleg style" on a simple cassette player, but a trip to New York in August, 2006 while visiting his sister, gave him the opportunity to record in some of the top studios in the world. These songs are the result of that trip, and are only the beginning of what Deprofit promises to bring. The trip was extremely successful, so he plans on going back to NY sometime in the near future to record a full-lenghth demo in order to show the world what he is really capable of. With a mixture of deeply soulful lyrics and witty similies and metaphors, Deprofit will have you questioning the meaning of life while making you laugh in the process. He brings a completely fresh new element to the rap scene, and it will not be long before this element is heard by the masses. Keep checking in for updates, and in the meantime, enjoy the music!
