Violated Minds formed in June 2006 at the Download Festival in Donnington, UK (weren't actually playing there, just a couple of people were talking about starting up a new band)
Recruitment for the band was the worst part. For a year the members didn't do anything, to begin with it was Nick Nevermore (vocals/guitar) Gary Lunn (bass) Darren Copley (lead guitar) and Heather Thornley (drums) ... In the early days Nick wrote 19 tracks ready to be jammed and learned by the fellow band mates but the band failed from the start because of a lack of rehearsal space, busy schedules and members learning to play instruments mainly.
In December 2006 the band departed when Nick thought "fuck it" and started again... Kicking everyone out (wasn't an asshole about it, they just didn't do anything) and made the solo project to write and record only the songs that weren't used for any previous bands.
Violated Minds released their 1st EP (online stream exclusive) Pointlicity Metal in September 2007 which ranged from 70-300 in the online charts for a few weeks before disappearing completely. After this phase Nick decided that the band would benifit from touring and being a more producting band but for that to work members would be needed. At this point Scot Reedy was recruited for guitar (left shortly after because of distance) Jakk Locke and Richard James but because of the band Fearless Declaration being a priority band them as members went nowhere so Nick went back to the drawing board to write EP number 2.
Since then demos from the new album have came out for streaming and Nick is still searching for members (contact him if interested)
Cry With No Eyes comes out December 12th!
