Jeff "Dj Ignition" Nwabeke was born in the metropolitan of Houston,Texas in 1985. Growing up in Missouri City,Texas, his earliest childhood memories were filled with music blasting thru the loud spekers of his fathers living room with the likes of nigerian high-life tunes, and 70s' soul ballads. As he grew older he joined the local high school band where he became a skilled trombone player. But due to the lack of drive, he decided to give up the trombone in search of other musical aspiratinons. Young Slic then went on to find his passion with the turntables after hustlin to get his first pair. From then Slic went on to master the art of turntablism leading him to the pathwayways of rhyming, and doing production for his rhymes.
