About Me
The Bandulos are one of the most exciting bands to come out of Staten Island, New York. A group of versatile young musicians with wide-ranging musical tastes, The Bandulos pull out songs from every decade and genre, asking only, “Does it have a good beat? And can you dance to it?â€
From ‘60s rock, ‘70s funk and soul, ‘80s pop, and ‘90s hip-hop, to reggae classics and jazz standards, The Bandulos dig up the finest musical gems, dust them off and polish them up for your dancing pleasure.
The band’s super-tight rhythm section and impressive lead guitar are augmented by keyboards, two trumpets, and male and female vocals. The group is equally adept at performing three-minute pop songs and extended improvisational jams.
Besides their musical skill, it’s the band’s unrivaled catalog of songs that earns the most praise from the audience. Younger and older crowds alike love the band’s mix of golden pop standards like “I Saw Her Standing There,†“Respect,†“Brown-Eyed Girl,†and “Billie Jean,†while the kids can’t get enough of nuggets like “Welcome to Jamrock,†“Poison,†and “All That She Wants.†And The Bandulos surprise everyone with their clever live mash-ups and jazz-funk instrumentals.
The band’s members all hail from Staten Island’s South Shore, and a few have been performing together for over a decade. The current lineup was solidified in the summer of 2006, and since then The Bandulos have been playing venues all over the island, as well as in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and New Jersey.
The Bandulos are available for parties, weddings, fundraisers, and corporate events, as well as bar and club gigs.
