About Me

No seasons evoked,Implied meanings are missing -The anti-haiku? ..

My Interests

HA - not much that won't get my attention for at least a few minutes. The trick is finding those things that we keep coming back to (and my friends know what those are)

I'd like to meet:

When we see a natural style, we are astonished and charmed; for we expected to see an author, and we find a person.~ Blaise Pascalmspobj type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" height="0" width="0" border="0"

Music:

Movies:

Any that have good scripts, acting, direction and production. Failing all of that, just one with a good heart. You know what I mean, don't act like you don't.

Books:

Tony Hillerman, The Destroyer series, George R.R. Martin, "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett (the only thing he wrote that I really liked, but boy did he get that one right)... and the list goes on...

Heroes:

All of those people who did what had to be done, or what needed to be done, or just even what they were supposed to do - and didn't look to get public credit for it.

I think I’ve been hacked

I was just viewing my blog and found a rude entry that I didn't write. It's gone now, but my apologies to anyone who saw it and was offended.

Just when I thought there was no hope for television

This isn't verbatim, but I hope it captures the gist. The Hallmark channel had a production of "The Valley of Light". It was a good story in general (get the book, author Terry Kay) but there's a poin...

today’s bumper sticker

I don't know whether the driver intended it to be funny, but I laughed for a good 15 seconds (time it, that's a while). Anyway, here's what the bumper sticker said on a Toyota Prius -"Powered by my ow...

I just saw Mike Meyers on Conan O'Brien, pushing his movie, "The Love Guru". I'm not motivated to see the movie, but I was intrigued by Myers' recounting of his time with Deepok Chopra, which seems to...
