CRAIG SHENTON

Craig Shenton is a 20 year old singer-songwriter based in London. Encouraged by his father he learnt to sing and play the piano from an early age, later adding the drums to his musical repertoire. His talents soon led him to the bright lights of the stage, and he gained early performing experience from the age of 10 in West End Musicals. In 1998 he teamed up with fellow songwriter Zak Norman to form what would later become Destrega, a prog-rock band for whom he served as a drummer/vocalist for the next 6 years. Following the breakup of the band, he began to write and perform his own solo material and has recently recorded his debut EP. His diverse and varied musical taste and experience has led to his own unique style with an injection of jazz and modern pop sensibilities". A keen lyricist, his expressive songs and vibrant vocals are said to be based on his personal experiences, drawing from both the encounters of his past, and his aspirations for the future."
