Life is not a dress rehearsal. We can choose to become the masters of our own destiny img src=http:/

About Me

I'll try to make this as short as possible cause I love to talk. Let's see...I guess I'm just your typical 21 year-old looking for all the answers to the endless possibilities and questions. Did I choose the right career? Should I go to grad school? Does money define happiness and success? Do I ever wanna get married? Do I want kids? You know, questions you start asking yourself once you hit adulthood. Oh well, I guess confusion is just a part of life. Right now I'm going to school at Pan-Am studying communication disorders hoping to become a speech therapist or pathologist. I went to UT Austin my first two years of college. It was a blast. Tough but the city life makes the hard work all worth it. And no, I didn't flunk out. Some stuff happened so I had to move back home for a year, and although everything is fine now, I figured I should just stay put in one place so I wouldn't be on a 7 year plan or something like that cause anyone who's transferred from college to college knows what a hassle everything can be. But I'm still a Longhorn at heart. Anyways, I SHOULD have my bachelor's within the next 2 years and hopefully after that I can move back to Austin. Oh and I'm not all about school either although I may have just sounded like that. I just love hanging out with my friends and cousins partying, dancing, and just having a good time. I guess I could say dancing and singing are probably my favorite things to do which is kinda ironic cause I'm not too great at either one of them. Oh well, it's all in good fun.Layout made by MickieSocial Distortion

My Interests

Like I said before I just like hanging out, listening to music, going to the theatre, going to bars, dancing, anything that helps me relax. I also really like poetry, motivational quotes, and photography. Love playing pool, shooting darts, and I absolutely love video games but I try to stay away from them cause I can get really addicted.

I'd like to meet:

I guess the people I'd like to meet are some of my favorite artists: Three Days Grace, Smile Empty Soul, Kelly Clarkson, and Chad Michael Murray just cuz he's a hottie.

Music:

Well, when it comes to music I can honestly say I like all different kinds. Anywhere from some blues and country all the way up to some death metal. I guess it just kinda depends what mood I'm in. But my favorites would probably be alternative, punk, rock, soft rock, R&B, hip-hop, or anything else I can dance to. Not really a fan of Reggaeton but again I like a couple of songs from that genre. Some of my favorite groups: Dashboard Confessional, Kelly Clarkson, Ludacris, Tenacious D, Radiohead, Three Days Grace, Good Charlotte, 12 Stones, Smile Empty Soul, Jewel, George Strait, Rascal Flatts, Justin Timberlake, Pink, Rihanna, Simple Plan, Fefe Dobson, Eminem, Aerosmith, Graham Colton Band, Third Eye Blind, Usher and a few others I can't really think of right now.

Movies:

With movies, once again I pretty much like all types: comedy, romance, action, suspense, thrillers. Some of my favorites would probably be Dumb and Dumber, The Notebook, 10 Things I Hate About You, Man on Fire, Save the Last Dance, The Interpreter, Crash, and Saw. Denzel Washington is one of my top favorite actors so basically any movie he's in, I love.

Television:

Well, I've gotta say that my two most favorite shows would probably have to be One Tree Hill and Family Guy. I never miss a show of either one of those. I also like The O.C., American Idol (if any of the contestants appeal to me), So you think you can dance, America's Funniest Videos, The Real World (depending on whether I like the cast or not), The MTV challenges (Inferno, Fresh Meat, etc.)and MTV Hits (It's a specific channel that just plays music video after music video non-stop). I also really love watching sports. Well not all teams, but if the Longhorns are playing (whether it's football, basketball, or even some baseball) you can bet I'll be sitting right in front of a big-screen TV at a bar (probably with Racine) sporting UT colors and cheering them on. I also like the Dallas Cowboys but since they've pretty much sucked the past few years, I kinda stopped watching. But now that T.O. is playing with them, I think I'm gonna be watching again. Not that T.O. makes the team, he's just a good addition. Plus he's not too bad to look at either. I also like following the San Antonio Spurs.

Books:

Well, I actually love to read but going to school with 5 different books assigned for me to read doesn't really give me any free time to read just for fun. But when I do have time I enjoy reading romance, thriller, and suspense books.

Heroes:

I would definitely have to say that my dad is my hero. He has worked so hard and dedicated so much of his time to help my family be where we are today. He's given me more love and support than I could ever ask for or even deserve. He's my motivation to finish school. When he needs the help, I wanna be able to take care of him the way he took care of my family and me. I guess you could say I'm a daddy's girl.

My Blog

R.I.P. Joseph

Today marks a year since the day you passed away, and it still just really sucks. I can clearly remember the day I got the dreadful phone call about your accident like it was just yesterday....
