About Me

About me? There's a lot that I could say about myself. No, I don't have an interesting life, no epic tale or grand adventure. Just nineteen years worth of stories and insights. However, I doubt that they would interest anyone but myself and it really wouldn't do you any good anyway. So, I'll settle for this: If you care to get to know me you'll see a lot more than I could ever put into words. More is learned through observation than the readings of a lifetime. Send me a message, talk to me in person, or just walk away now, the choice is up to you :)

If you already know me, I have a quiz to test your knowledge. You can check it out if you like.

My Interests

My interests are many and varied. I don't think I could ever pick one style of surrounding as a favorite or one hobby as more worth-while than another. I guess you could say that I see through the eyes of an artist. I go for walks in the rain just because I find rain to be beautiful, and stop to look at anything that catches my eye. Unless you see things the same way there's no way for me to explain it to you. Believe me, I've tried too many times.

I'd like to meet:

No one really comes to mind. I'm not terribly social and don't often seek people out. I prefer to meet those who God brings into my life when He chooses to. After all, His timing is perfect.

Music:

Oldies are my favorite though I like some jazz as well. I also like various songs from other genres though I couldn't place them.

Movies:

Walt Disney once said "Fantasy, if it's really convincing, can't become dated for the simple reason that it represents a flight into a dimension that lies beyond the reach of time." I don't think there's a better way to describe why I enjoy movies as much as I do.

Television:

I don't watch a lot of TV as I greatly prefer movies. There are a few series that I like however, such as CSI and Criminal Minds. I've also found that I rather like InuYasha.

Books:

Reading is something that I enjoy very much. I find that I prefer the English writing style over the American style, and am very keen to find copies of some of Shakespeare's work. JK Rowling's Harry Potter series is very high on my list of favorites, as are Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. Timothy Zahn is an excellent sci-fi author and his work on the Star Wars novels is amazing.

Heroes:

I've heard many people say that when asked about a hero I sould say "Jesus" but I just don't think that I would put Christ in the category of "hero." The word hero literally means "a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities" and that seems somehow a bit lacking for the God of the universe. So, heroes? I don't think I have any.
