About Me

Born to US Foreign Service parents, Morgan McCarthy grew up in Africa and has worked extensively as a professional actor, scenic painter, and makeup artist in Texas as well as around the world. She holds a BA in Theatre from the University of St. Thomas and has recently relocated to Sacramento after accepting the position of Resident Scenic Charge of the Sacramento Theatre Company.
Her recent stage roles include Gillian in Bell, Book and Candle (Country Playhouse), Mary in Mary's Wedding (Unity Theatre), Dinah in Mr. Pim Passes By (Main Street Theater), June Sanders in The Sander’s Family Christmas (Unity Theatre), Daphne in Present Laughter (Main Street Theatre), and Celia in Shakespeare’s As You Like It (Jones Theatre).
Morgan is a staple in the Texas horror feature film circuit. She holds supporting lead roles in such films as Mel House’s Closet Space, and his most recent feature Walking Distance starring Adrienne King (Friday the 13th), Reggie Bannister (Phantasm, Bubba-Hotep), Kathy Lamkin (No Country for Old Men, Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake) and Glen Morshower (Transformers, 24). She holds lead roles in Gerald Nott’s The Flesh Keeper and Stacy Davidson’s Domain of the Damned, for which she also served as SPFX make-up supervisor. She was featured in Jonah Matranga’s music video, Not About a Girl or a Place. Morgan has voiced several anime characters for Mythical Detective Loki, Princess Tutu, and Hugo the Negotiator (ADV Films Inc.).
