About Me

I go to University of Maryland, major in Music Education and Russian - which means I'm always at rehearsal, practicing, teaching, or doing homework. I left a part of my heart in Russia, and I want to go back terribly. I think the guy should always make the first move. "Ochi Chyorniye" is now my official theme song. If I could change what instrument I learned to play, I wouldn't - I love being low brass. I want to learn Polish. I like to make goofy faces (other than my natural one) and quote good comedians verbatim (a family trait). I can easily obsess over just about anything at any time. Cooking is my method of relaxation, and my family's pretty happy about that. I have watched Pride & Prejudice over 100 times (at least) and could easily watch it 100 times more within the next year. I sing really loud in the car to whatever is playing with the windows down. I am convinced that yerba mate is the elixir of life, and I drink it almost every day. I love my fish. My favorite constellation is Draco. Being Polish is my overly-used excuse for all the dumb things I do on a consistent basis. I like to insert random bits of Russian into everyday conversations. I could spend every clear night laying out under the stars.

Who am I, really?

It does seem, from the past few posts, that I'm a very 'deep' sort of person, who thinks very 'deep' and 'profound' thoughts all the time. This is not entirely true... as those who have spent any meas...

Off-balance, or something like it.

I was subbing for 2nd grade today, and it was interesting to me how such a child-like reading of the story of Abraham could have such an effect on me... We talked about God making promises, and how no...
