Indignation are Haverhill’s metal crafters, five musicians melding chaos, melody and power into a sound as heavy as it is unique. The ten-year veterans of the eastern Massachusetts thrash scene are regular headliners in their home city north of Boston. Loyal fans have joined the band at memorable live shows across New England, riding party buses to various venues in support of a group that turns heads whenever they play.
Indignation has performed at shows alongside nationally touring acts. They have won multiple rounds of battles of the bands at The Middle East, and the Paradise, both in Boston, MA, and most recently played in a label showcase for Warner Brothers and Geffen Records in Providence, RI.
Indignation was formed in 1997 as a four-piece thrash punk act, releasing two EPs before turning to their roots in blues and hard rock, and evolving into a heavy metal band. They went on to release two more EPs after additions to their rhythm section in 2000 and the return of Sirois, their original vocalist in 2003. The material was compiled on the album, “Indignation: Anthology,†released in early 2007 to celebrate a decade of thrash music.
Over the past year the band has helped raise over $30,000 playing local benefit shows. As they work their way into the studio to record a full-length album, Indignation will continue to bring their distinctive songs and stage presence to new crowds across the region.
