The excitement is building as one of the largest and most fun events benefiting Nashville CARES approaches. Artrageous 18: Bound will again fill the streets of Nashville with thousands of party-goers on November 12, 2005.Actually, you can get involved now in the fun and pick up an amazing piece of artwork in the deal. New this year, an online art auction has replaced the silent auction at the Late Party. Artwork from Nashville’s artist community and artist around the country will go on sale through eBay starting October 3. You can view the entire collection of artwork at the Artrageous website (www.artrageous.org). Each week, a block of the collection will go up for auction. The auction will conclude on November 11. You can access the auction through www.artrageous.org .Artrageous 18: Bound is being hosted by ten of the city’s hottest art galleries including: Avante Art Glass, Bennett Galleries, EZ Gallery, Finer Things Gallery, Gallery One, Art and Invention at the Garage Mahal, Tennessee Art Center at Madison, Tennessee Art League, Art House Gallery & Studio and The Arts Company. Ten percent of any purchases at the galleries that evening will go to benefit Nashville CARES.“Attending the gallery parties creates in each of us a sense of adventure fueled by the momentum of the crowd,†said Jon Glassmeyer, Artrageous president.At each gallery party, guests will find amazing collections of art for sale, drinks and hors d’oervres and tons of people mingling.
