HISTORY

1999 - 2003
Young, fresh and enthusiastic to make their own sound, the Phanamanation played first Funk an Reggae. Soon, they played numerous concerts and collected valuable experience on different stages. Under influence of Rap and Afrobeat, they developped step by step their own style.
2004 - 2005
During a concert, the musicians of the Phanamanation meet Rama Mwaura, a singer of a bernese soundsystem. Rama, born in Kenya, is from now on a steady part of the band. Also the vocalist Mänu Tröhler joins the band (Rap, Dopestum). In 2005 the first Worber Jam takes place. Later on the Phanamanation plays as supporting act for GMF at the Braderie in Biel. In autumn the first CD named „Mora Mora“, recorded in the Studio2, is released.
2006 – now
Due to „Mora Mora“ The Phanamanation get more concerts: Gigs from Grindelwald to Aarau, full house as main act at the Mühle Hunziken, supporting act of T.M. Stevens at the Galery Music Club, Pratteln. In December The Phanamanation wins against 70 other Bands the YouthMusic Contest at the Kofmehl Solothurn and started there as main act in the new year. One month later they baptize their new album „Blue Eyes“ at the Waserwerk Club in Bern, followed by more concerts.
Future
The Phanamanation grows on. With Singer Yasmina the band wants to stay on the path of success. With their unique sound, they want to conquer new stages to spoil people from around the world and make them to real „groove-gourmets“.
Sound description
"Big City Music". The Phanamanation mixes Hip-Hop with Funk-Soul, Acid-Jazz, Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeat and D'n'B. The Band has a tendency towards exotics and moves professionaly in the different styles of music. The richness of ideas, colors and their rhythmic power characterize their unmistakeable sound. So it’s hard to assign this creative mix. The Phanamanation play as well at Rock- and Jazz-Festivals and at Funk-, Reggae- and Hip-Hop Parties. With their lively presence on stage they grip every audience. Their guarantee: A program with a lot of variety and a burning mood
