MyHotCommentsA bit of a gypsy, but I believe I've found the place that I'm going to lay my roots. Long story what got me here,but maybe another time. I'm from New Orleans-cool,cool city,which will always have my heart,but unfortunately, will probably never be the same. Very sad. I've been there several times since the storm and parts of the city are fine,but it kind of feels like its lost its "soul". Which, if you know anything at all about N.O., spirit/soul are its lifeline. I was a nurse...for 15 years, mostly focusing in psychiatry and chemical dependency. Yep, I like crazy people and yeah, I can relate "I'M not crazy..THEY are the crazy ones!" <--those people scare me! I've taken some time off to "work on me", for the time being. My life is very simple. I don't have alot of superficial "needs" and I can honestly say, in alot of ways, I've never been happier. I'm very much into the world and people around me. It ain't all about "me"?(or you) People assume I'm a girly girl, but I'm not. I outgrew that a bit back, but I can still pull if off if I'm in the mood. I like being real and I like real people. Superficiality sucks. I'm not into drama or drama addicts, either. People,it's not that difficult. Let's all just play nice and have some fun, ok? Yep,I'm a bit of a hippy. Not a "hippy freak", but I'm pretty down to earth and natural. I'm a little bit bohemiam. LOVE thrift stores and will usually pick old over new anyday. Not somebody that cares too much about "new stuff" and getting more new stuff. I think I've gained a little perspective about what really matters(to me anyway) and I think I'm lucky to have it. I've been told that I usually surprise people when they get to know me. I guess what they see on the outside isn't what they get on the inside. I look "fairly normal" on the outside, but when you get to know me,I will usually shock you. That's a good thing!
