About Me

I'm easy~going and low maintenance, preferring simplicity to the almost too frenetic pace we all seem to trot along at.
I have a variety of interests from the mundane, "usual" things to the more daring... like climbing to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and caving in Poland... Life is far too short to be sedentary... have passport, will travel !
I love Morocco, it's a beautiful country ! My husband is from a city called Oujda, the eastern capital of Morocco. Morocco has 27 million inhabitants, according to offical numbers. Unofficial estimates put the real figures between 30 and 40 millions.
Believe it or not, Morocco is a country where you easily could start the day with a walk around a true oasis, then go skiing in the mountains and end the day with a swim in the ocean ! The countryside around Oujda is far greener than what is normally found around Morocco. Near Oujda, the mountains come to an end, and the landscape flattens out until it reaches the sea — the Mediterranean Sea.
Being a country right on the border to the Sahara, on the ocean and with some of the highest mountains of Africa, Morocco has several climatic zones. The infrastructure of Morocco is fantastic. Getting around offers no other problem than deciding your means of transportation. Trains connect major cities and many smaller places, and little red Fiat Uno taxis are everywhere.
The medina of Oujda is not as traditional as medinas normally are in Morocco. Instead of narrow streets and houses that almost fall all over you, Oujda offers wide streets and fairly modern houses. While you stroll through the many markets, your nose will tell you what each district specializes in — spices, perfumes, leather, woodworks, fish or vegetables. Haggling over prices is expected !
We do not stop playing because we grow old... we grow old because we stop playing...
"No opportunity is ever lost. Someone else seizes the ones you missed"
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people wont feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. Its not just in some of us, its in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." -Nelson Mandela
