I am blessed to be a mother, but challenged to be trying to raise my boys with old fashioned discipline and values in a world that places so much emphasis on things that were never important to me growing up. I try to keep their feet on the ground and their hands in the dirt as much as possible (spending vacations traveling the country by car and at home letting them experience hard work and the fruit of their own labors).
I am the eternal optimist...a devoted friend, seemingly everyone's personal relationship coach (how ironic is that?). Apparently a decent mediator, always helping people see the other side.
I am a loving daughter and sister to my family.
I believe in love, the wisdom of the elderly, the innocence of youth, that good exists in people, (that there is) a power of evil. I believe in learning and that knowledge is power. I believe in forgiveness. I believe that prayer works miracles, that each day is an opportunity (and you decide for what), that smiling is contagious, that laughter is the key to health. I believe in chivalry. I believe in hard work, AND in having fun. I believe in "owning it". I believe in new experiences, and trying just about anything. I believe in myself. I believe in angels (in heaven and on earth) and I believe in God.
