40.CAL HAMMERZ was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on the Southside of Jamaica Queens. 40. CAL HAMMERZ started rapping from a young age. He has been known to have rhymed from his high school lunchroom, to the streets of 111th and Farmers Blvd, to Sutphin Blvd, and Loring Ave of Spring Creek Gardens Brooklyn. Wise beyond his years it was the very streets of Queens and Brooklyn that gave the 40.CAL HAMMERZ the inspiration to hone his craft. As a result 40.CAL HAMMERZ developed a genius skill that others cannot emulate. His innovative lyrical flow, gift for making a club bounce with a sick track has given 40. CAL HAMMERZ recognition and respect by diverse superstars. In 2000, he teamed up with legendary rapper and Hip-Hop Icon, Kool G Rap. With an arsenal of talented MC’s, which consists of Wife of the Don-MaBarker, Tizmania, 40. CAL HAMMERZ and Kool G Rap, the 5 Family Click was formed. In 2003, the group dropped an independent LP through Blaze Entertainment/Koch Records titled Click of Respect. With 6 songs on the album, 40.CAL HAMMERZ proved to critics that this rookie has the skills to keep up with the veterans of the click. Better yet, a song featuring Kool G Rap, MaBarker and 40.CAL HAMMERZ off the album blessed the 2004, Lion Gates film “The Cookout†featuring Queen Latifah, Megan Good, Danny Glover and Farrah Fawcett. While building his credentials with mainstream projects, 40.CAL HAMMERZ keeping true to the streets, dishes out his gutta, hardcore and witty yet thought provoking style that he attributes to Jay-Z, Eminem, the late Tupac Shakur and of course Kool G Rap, through mixtapes from P-Cutta, to DJ Whoo Kid. Collaboration with Kool G Rap on a DJ Whoo Kids Dead or Alive mix-tape certainly displays his talent as a gifted writer and a rising star on a freestyle remake of Mobb Deep’s classic G.O.D. With a style and drive that only champions can only relate to, 40.CAL HAMMERZ is a force to be reckoned with. Once again, proving he is a wordsmith that has the talent that can only be compared to hip hop’s greats and a star amongst a hip hop industry filled with rappers, 40.CAL HAMMERZ collaborates with hip hop’s elites such as 50 Cent, LL Cool J, Kool G Rap and other Queens bred rappers to record the Queens anthem that pays homage to their stomping grounds. Currently working with producers like Scram Jones, Critical Child, and Jayd of BlockBoy Entertainment, and Aftermath’s recording artist Joell Ortiz, 40.CAL HAMMERZ aims to raise the standards of what we consider good hip hop music with his multi-dimensional lyrical wordplay, flows, and delivery. 40.CAL HAMMERZ name convey controversy. After having to defend that he indeed is the real 40.CAL HAMMERZ, he found himself having to shut down rivals such as J Records artist Shellz to Dipset artist 40.CAL. “I don’t get hit with garden tools in a barber shop, so please don’t mistake me for these fake wannabes.†40.CAL HAMMERZ has the talent and ambition to become the biggest name in hip-hop, a title he has earned and his skills lead him to that fame.
